Festival Screening
The 2023 Madrid Film Festival was another sold-out smash success at the Engine House Theater in Madrid, New Mexico, on Friday 9/8, Saturday 9/9, and Sunday 9/10. Thanks for coming!
Now a Certified Nonprofit
As of 2023 we are a nonprofit, community-based arts festival, an official 501(c)3 designated charity. The Madrid Film Festival is kept alive thanks to generosity from local buisnesses, the Kind World Foundation, the Santa Fe Film Office, and support from people like you. We would love to accept your donation in any amount, it's cash deductible!
Prizes
$500 cash awarded to the film that wins the Festival’s grand prize, Le Palme d’Coal, sponsored by Beer Creek Brewing Company.
$500 cash awarded to the film that wins the best local Madrid film prize, the “Oscar” Huber, sponsored by the Mine Shaft Tavern.
$25 Beer Creek gift cards for other winning films.
Requirements for next year's festival
20 minutes or less.
Must be created in New Mexico over this year.
Submissions will open May 1s, 2024.
No submission fee.
