About the Madrid Film Festival

Producers Monika Gannon, Andrew Wice and Timothy Willis will welcome you to the 8th Annual Madrid Film Festival in August of 2025 to enjoy New Mexico's best short films, screened in the historic Engine House Theater in Madrid.  

The Madrid Film Festival seeks to encourage local filmmaking by showcasing the best short films produced in New Mexico each year. Supporting amateur and minority filmmakers is a particular emphasis, especially around the community of Madrid. 

This is why we offer big prizes, and never charge a submission fee.

We are a nonprofit, community-based arts festival, an official 501(c)3 charity.  The Madrid Film Festival is kept alive thanks to generosity from the Kind World Foundation and the Santa Fe Film Office and donations from people like you!  We would love to accept your donation in any amount, it's cash deductible!
